The Backend Build
One workflow, system, or automation you already know you need, built across the tools your business uses.
You know what needs to work differently. Hand me the implementation and I'll build the pieces, connect the platforms, and get the workflow running.
Priced based on scope
You know what needs to happen. You need someone to make it work.
Maybe your CRM is already set up, but onboarding still requires six manual steps.
Maybe information needs to move between two platforms and right now someone is copying it over by hand.
Maybe you've mapped out exactly how a workflow should run, but building the automations and integrations to make it happen has stayed on your list for months.
That's where The Backend Build comes in.
This is a project-based implementation service for one clearly defined operational need.
I work within the platforms your business already uses to build the workflow, setup, or automation and connect the pieces that need to work together.
You bring me the outcome you need.
I handle the build.
What a Backend Build Can Look Like
Every project is scoped around one defined operational outcome. That might include:
Client onboarding and offboarding
Connect your CRM, forms, email, project management platform, and other tools so clients move through a consistent process from one step to the next.
Cross-platform automations
Use Zapier, Make, or native integrations to move information and trigger actions between the platforms you already use.
CRM setup and workflows
Configure platforms such as Dubsado, HoneyBook, or Moxie around your client process, including forms, workflows, emails, scheduling, contracts, and other required pieces.
Project management setup
Build a ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Trello, or similar workspace around how your team manages projects and recurring work.
Booking and intake workflows
Connect forms, scheduling, communication, and the appropriate internal systems so inquiries and new clients move where they need to go.
Contracts, invoices, and payment workflows
Set up the tools and automations that support signatures, invoicing, payment reminders, and the steps that happen around them.
Other defined backend workflows
If you know what process needs to work and which tools are involved, I can determine whether it fits a Backend Build during your discovery call.
Backend Build or Custom Airtable Build?
Choose The Backend Build when the workflow needs to work across the tools you already use.
Your CRM can stay your CRM. Your project management platform can stay your project management platform. Your scheduler, payment processor, forms, and other tools can stay where they are.
I build or configure the pieces you need and connect them so the workflow works from one platform to the next.
Choose a Custom Airtable Build when Airtable needs to become the central system.
If the bigger problem is that your business information is scattered and you want clients, projects, content, resources, or other operational data connected inside one central Airtable system, the Custom Airtable Build is the better fit.
Backend Build = build and connect a defined workflow across your existing tools.
Custom Airtable Build = build a central operational system inside Airtable.
What's Included
Your exact deliverables depend on the project, but every Backend Build includes:
30-minute discovery call
We'll confirm the outcome, platforms involved, scope, and whether The Backend Build is the right service.
Full implementation of the agreed scope
I build and configure the systems, workflows, integrations, and automations included in your project.
Testing before handoff
The pieces included in the build are tested before the project is delivered.
Written documentation
You'll have documentation showing how the finished setup works and what you need to know to maintain it.
Video walkthrough
At project close, you'll receive a walkthrough of what was built and how it works.
Async project communication
We'll communicate asynchronously throughout the build so questions and updates don't require another meeting.
Post-delivery support
You'll have seven business days of Slack support after handoff for any questions on what was built.
The Process
How We Work Together
Confirm the Build
We start with a 30-minute discovery call. You show me what needs to happen, what you're currently using, and where the workflow needs to end up. I'll confirm whether the project fits this service and what needs to be included.
Scope the Project
You'll receive a clear proposal outlining the deliverables, timeline, and investment. Once the project is approved, we get everything I need to begin.
I Build It
I configure the platforms, build the workflows, and connect the automations included in your scope. We'll communicate asynchronously while I work, and I'll reach out when I need information or decisions from you.
You Get It Back Ready to Use
At project close, you'll receive the finished build, documentation, and a video walkthrough showing you how everything works, plus seven business days of Slack support afterward for any questions.
What Changes After the Build
The Backend Build Is a Good Fit If...
- You already know the outcome you need and are ready to hand off the implementation.
- You have one defined workflow, system, setup, or automation that needs to be built.
- The project involves configuring or connecting the tools your business already uses.
- You want something built around your actual process rather than dropping a generic template into your account.
If you have several interconnected operational problems and aren't sure what needs to be fixed first, this probably isn't the right starting point. A broader operations engagement would make more sense.
Investment
Priced based on scope
Your investment and project timeline depend on what needs to be built, the platforms involved, and the complexity of the workflow or automations.
You'll receive the full scope, timeline, and investment before the project begins. Full payment is due at signing.
